Final Project Migration – Evaluation

I believe that my project as a whole was successful although there were definitely things I can still improve on and things I would do differently next time. I enjoyed under taking this project and meeting people on the train. Lots of people on the train however did not want their photo taken which is fair enough and those that did often asked for detail in to why I needed their photo. I was happy to explain this to people and they often found it quite interesting.

I didn’t book out a tripod whilst I undertook this project as it would have been difficult to set up a tripod on a train. However this did mean that many of my images were slightly blurry such as these ones

Next time a tripod might come in handy to prevent me from getting blurry images. The 1st of these 3 images also has a yellow pole in it which is another reason as to why I did not chose this image as part of my final images. The 3rd of these images also features the subject far too far to the left of the shot. Ideally for portrait photos the subject should be in the middle so I didn’t use this image.

The image above is ok but I feel like the chair at the front of the image which isn’t in focus takes up to0 much of the shot so I have not used it in my final piece.

This is the result of what happens if you go from a much darker lighting to a brighter one without changing the settings on your camera. The image is very over exposed.IMG_3017

There are still many things I can do to improve my photography skills and next time I would change slightly what I do but for my first major photography project I am satisfied with how it has gone.
